Talk about a situation! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino married college sweetheart Lauren Pesce on Thursday, November 1, nine months after his romantic Valentine’s Day proposal! While he was extremely nervous for the big day, he cried happy tears throughout it all, telling Us Weekly that it was “like a fairy-tale come true.”

Pesce, 33, used Castle Couture to find her long-sleeved Pronovias gown and matching veil, and she couldn’t have been happier. “I know what I like! I'm very picky, so I'm very impressed,” she told Us about every part of the wedding.

While getting ready, the groomsmen, including Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, wore matching black and gold Customized Girl sweat suits, designed by the bride and groom. Each were personalized – Guadagnino’s even said “Keto Guido,” because obviously.

Pesce wore a nude lip and long eyelashes done by makeup artist Lauren D'Amelio, and the look lasted all day and night, although the couple cried through much of it! Luckily, they were able to get away and clean up in between the festivities. “We had a nice little retreat, like the bridal suite and the groom suite, and we were able to sneak up there,” she told Us. “We really took it in like, 'This is our day and this is only happening once in our lifetime.'”

Pesce wore two different pairs of shoes for the big day! Luckily, there were no puddles for outside photos, which the couple lucked out with. The night before, “it was down pouring [and] flooded,” Pesce told Us. “We woke up and it was 70 degrees and sunny in New Jersey, which is like a rarity here! It was literally a perfect day for a Thursday wedding.”

“I handpicked every single person we worked with,” the bride said, adding that they also collaborated closely with the 495 Productions team since the wedding was filmed for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “We had a hand in every little detail, so I'm really proud of the people we chose to work with because they're all such pros in their field.”

“When I first saw Mike, I was just pretty much speechless … he couldn’t have looked better,” Pesce said, adding she had her now-hubby grow out his hair for the big day, which included 205 guests. Sorrentino added that while he never gets nervous, his wedding day was the exception. “I'm on stages in front of crowds, I do motivational speeches on a monthly basis, but on the day of my wedding, the whole day I was trying to gather my composure from just breaking down from happiness,” he said. “It was just really beautiful.”

“I can't believe that we were able to pull off such an unbelievably beautiful wedding like that,” the reality star told Us. “We're on cloud nine right now. We had our wedding at a castle fit for a king and a queen.”

The entire Jersey Shore cast, with the exception of Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, attended the ceremony, and unlike the show, it was drama-free! “There were no issues. Everyone was so happy, everyone was having a good time, everyone was dancing,” Sorrentino said. Ortiz-Magro also brought his on-again off-again girlfriend, Jen Harley. Giancola was invited, but chose not to come, most likely because the cameras were rolling, he told Us. “She sent a gift – a very heartfelt, sweet gift,” he said.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s 4-year-old daughters Meilani and Giovanna, respectively, were flower girls in the wedding, since Pesce and Sorrentino consider them to be part of their family. “They’re like nieces to us,” Pesce said.

The Jersey Shore studs cleaned up well in tuxedos by Robbie’s NYC. The show “is a part of us,” Pesce added, noting it was important to honor the reality show. “This was the royal guido wedding,” The Situation added.

For the bride, her favorite part of the day was the ceremony itself, since it was very important that her father give her away. “It’s every girl’s lifelong dream, in combination with marrying the most important person in your life,” she said. Plus, she knew the party was coming: “It was like the calm before the fun and chaos! It was all perfect.”

In addition to their dinner, the guests also had Valducci’s pizza, Cannoli World and macaroons as favors. “If you don’t have that at your wedding, are you really having a wedding?” Sorrentino asked Us.

The wedding cake, created by Confections of a Rockstar, was “drop dead beautiful,” Pesce says, explaining that she picked it out. Inside, it was marbleized with almonds – her favorite.

Sorrentino’s favorite part of the day was when they were announced as man and wife for the first time. “We came out and we had the band do a mashup of two different songs and then we had our first dance,” he said. “I was all in my feels at that particular point and you know, I was just beyond happy."

During the entire ceremony and reception, the vibe was all about family. Pesce explained that her dad has a “tough exterior” but when he did a welcoming speech and toast, they both got emotional. Mike’s brother followed with a powerful speech, as well.

After the ceremony, the guys went for comfort in custom matching red sweat suits. DelVecchio, 38, Ortiz-Magro, 32, and Guadagnino, 30, all gave separate speeches that were both “heartfelt and hilarious” during the ceremony. “Only they have the ability to do that,” Pesce said.

The groom’s cake was filled with Sorrentino’s favorite, Funfetti, and included a very Jersey Shore theme, which they both couldn’t get enough of.

Starlight Music made sure the night was full of memorable tunes, including Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,” which is a “sentimental song” for the pair. Late in the night, the couple surprised their guests with a live performance from ‘80s singer Rob Base. “Everybody turned up to that,” Pesce said.

Overall, the night was a success and filled with love from the pair’s friends and the party continued until 1 a.m. Afterward, the newlyweds went home to a “baby making appointment,” Sorrentino said, joking that they’ve been working on a baby timeline. “We’re excited for little Situations!”
