Paves, who recently teamed up with Skinade, tells Stylish that his secret for getting beautiful hair, skin and nails comes from the mangosteen flavoured anti-ageing collagen drink. "My hair just seems a lot healthier and thicker with more shine since I started drinking Skinade," Paves reveals. "Collagen is necessary for hair health, strength and elasticity. As you get older, when you chemically treat your hair and do different processes, hair gets dry and brittle, but my hair seems super bouncy, healthy and shiny now," he reveals.
Eva Longoria dishes to Us that she hasn't switched up her haircare routine too much while being pregnant other than being ammonia free when it comes to color Paves explains, "We changed Eva's hair up with an amazing color. She likes to keep her highlights very neutral and not too reddish or brown, so we've been doing a more balyage look." He continues, "We decided to use this technique so that we weren't too aggressive with something at the scalp or the root and really lifted and brightened her color."
"We're going to see a lot more texture," Paves reveals. "I work off of naturally air-dried hair and I find that women are finding themselves less apt to straighten or curl their hair and we're seeing a lot more diversity when it comes to texture," he adds.
If you're not sure if you need a hair change, Paves says a tell-tale sign is "when you're in a room and four or five women have the same haircut, it's time to really try and start to get out of that rut." As for when Longoria will change her hair next? He says, "I think she'll definitely switch up her hair when she becomes a mom. Eva has had so many different looks and hairstyles and she's a really great example of a woman living in the moment and honoring herself in the moment and I think that keeps people current." He adds, "She also knows a lot about hair, so she will definitely have a great opinion on what we're gonna do next, but I love that she's open to always changing it up."
"I've worked with Victoria since she had a pixie cut and we just decided to do this new cut in the moment. We were getting ready in the morning and decided to cut it and we went quite a bit shorter," he tells Stylish. "If you want to stay current and fresh it's just about being in the moment and really honoring what you want," Paves says. "The cool thing about hair is that you can always change the length, color or add in accessories and try different styles."
While Paves doesn't think the flower crown is going anywhere, he admits that he thinks people will be doing it a little differently. "The bohemian, age of Aquarius and flower power is what these festivals are all about, but I think this time we're going to see a little bit more muted and organic colors and little flowers and ornamentation in the hair with a more sort of whimsical vibe," he dishes. "We're going to see more fine and fun accessories instead of bulky and big during festival season as well as on the carpet."
