In fact, Kardashian lets criticism roll right off her back. “I used to look at everything and anything and have Google Alerts and just get so upset and go home and cry after something mean being said,” she explained at The Girls’ Lounge dinner in September 2016. “And now there is nothing anybody can say that can even rattle me.” She added: “It’s a little bit sad that that’s the time you live in that people can say the meanest, nastiest things and you can be OK with it.” Kardashian attributed her thick skin to Kanye West’s influence on her. “My husband has definitely taught me to be my most authentic self and not care what other people think,” she noted. “I think I was a people pleaser before.” (She filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 after six years of marriage.) She did so in September 2018 when a fan asked via Twitter how she reacted to sister Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy news. “I was so happy knowing i was having a baby too,” she replied, referring to daughter Chicago, who was born weeks before the Kylie Cosmetics CEO’s daughter, Stormi. “You always find ways to make things about yourself,” one commenter wrote, to which Kardashian responded: “Always! Consistency is key.” The Skims founder took her strong stance against naysayers one step further in February 2018 when she sent Valentine’s Day gifts to some unexpected recipients. “I decided, for this Valentine’s Day, everyone deserves a Valentine,” she said on her Instagram Story. “So I am going to send them to my lovers, to my haters, to everyone that I think of. Because it’s Valentine’s Day after all.” Notable names of those she gave her Kimoji Hearts Bae perfume to included Swift and Chloë Grace Moretz. Halting the Hookup Rumors

The reality star denied in May 2021 that she ever hooked up with Travis Barker after the drummer’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler claimed they hooked up while he was married to her. Moakler exclusively told Us earlier that month that she “caught” Barker having an “affair” with Kardashian in the early 2000s, but the TV personality later refuted the allegations via her Instagram Stories during a fan Q&A. 

When one user asked about the rumored hookup, Kardashian replied, “NO! False narrative!” She explained that she has been “friends for years” with the musician and she is “so happy for him” and her sister Kourtney Kardashian, whom he began dating in late 2020.

The Slap Heard Round the World

Things got ugly between Kim and sister Kourtney during the season 18 premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which aired in March 2020. The Poosh founder defended her work ethic to Kim, which prompted a fight that involved Kourtney digging her nails into Kim’s arms. “I swear to God I’ll punch you in your face,” Kim retorted, to which her older sister replied, “So do it.”

The siblings began kicking each other as Khloé Kardashian tried to separate them. “Don’t you ever f—king dig your nails into me like that,” Kim said as the altercation continued. “How f—king old are you?” Kim then slapped Kourtney multiple times. 

Kourtney ultimately decided to take time off from filming the reality show. Kim then announced in September 2020 that Keeping Up With the Kardashians would end in 2021 after two more seasons.

Klapping Back at Old News

In March 2020, Taylor Swift responded to the full footage of her 2016 phone call with West leaking, which detailed their discussion about his “Famous” lyric about the singer. She claimed that “somebody edited and manipulated” the viral clip “in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell.”

The KKW Beauty founder, in response, hit back at the pop star across a series of tweets. Kardashian noted that the timing of Swift speaking on the matter “feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing” amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I never edited the footage (another lie) — I only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative,” the reality star tweeted. “To add, Kanye as an artist has every right to document his musical journey and process, just like she recently did through her documentary.”

Kardashian continued, “Kanye has documented the making of all of his albums for his personal archive, however, has never released any of it for public consumption & the call between the two of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she not lied & forced me to defend him. This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares.”

Returning the Poison

Kardashian cracked up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in September 2019 after reading a mean tweet. “I’d rather plant poison ivy plants in my anus before hearing another word about Kim Kardashian!“ the troll had tweeted. Her response? “Go ahead and do that. Please.”

In Khloe’s Korner

In February 2019, after a social media critic slammed Khloé for making a publicity appearance one day after Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal made headlines, Kim stood up for her sister. “Would you prefer she lose the [money] too? A single mom has to work too boo!” Kim tweeted. “This was a professional commitment planned far in advance and you better believe she is not waiting on anyone to pay her bills or provide for her daughter. PERDIODT!!!”

Not Staying in Her Lane

Kardashian defended her decision to study for the California State Bar in an April 2019 Instagram caption. “I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case,” she wrote. “One person actually said I should ‘stay in my lane.’ I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am.”

Dragging Drake

During an epic Twitter rant about Drake in December 2018, Kanye West claimed the “God’s Plan” rapper had threatened him. Hours later, Kardashian rose to West’s defense.

“@Drake Never threaten my husband or our family,” she tweeted. “He paved the way for there to be a Drake.”

Kimye’s ‘Famous’ Feud With Taylor Swift

In February 2016, West debuted his song “Famous,” on which the MC raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Taylor Swift’s dedicated fans were furious with the track and immediately took to Twitter to criticize the rapper. West insisted that the “Bad Blood” songstress preapproved the line, but her team said otherwise. In June 2016, Kardashian slammed Swift in an interview with GQ, saying, “She totally approved that. She totally knew that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t.”

Kardashian Gets Ballsy With Bette Midler

Moments after the reality star shared a nude selfie in March 2016, Bette Midler wrote on Twitter, “Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.” Kardashian clapped back, writing, “I know it’s past your bedtime but if you’re still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding.”

Chloë Grace Sides With Midler

Chloë Grace Moretz retweeted Midler's March 2016 tweet to the Selfish author shortly before she made her own voice heard. “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” the Carrie actress wrote. Kardashian retorted, “Let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo.”

#FingersInTheBootyAssBitch Drama

In January 2016, West ignited a war of words with his ex Amber Rose because he was mistakenly under the impression that her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa, dissed Kardashian. As fans know, the KUWTK star and Rose have feuded on and off for years. The model immediately slammed the “Waves” rapper with a now-infamous NSFW tweet: “Awww @kanyewest are u mad I’m not around to play in ur a--hole anymore? #FingersInTheBootyAssBitch.” Days later, Rose and Kardashian made amends and even posed for a selfie together, which the former stripper jokingly captioned, “Tea anyone?”

Watch What You Say, Caitlyn!

The Kardashian-Jenner clan wasn’t too happy with Caitlyn Jenner’s July 2015 Vanity Fair cover story. In the interview, the ex-Olympian, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, trashed ex-wife Kris Jenner and claimed that they would still be together if the matriarch had accepted the I Am Cait star’s gender transition. “I don’t think she thinks that she did anything wrong,” Kim said in an October 2015 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “I think she’s obviously shut out all of the memories of mom.”

Adrienne Bailon Slams Rob, Kim Retaliates

Rob Kardashian’s ex Adrienne Bailon accused him of cheating on her during their two-year relationship in a July 2014 interview with Latina magazine. Kim was appalled by the comments and tweeted, “So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever… Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian.”

Implants? Nope, Kim’s Au Naturel!

Kardashian went on a Twitter rant in February 2014 after social media users and gossip sites accused her of getting butt implants. “I’m seeing all these nonsense tabloids claiming I have butt implants-injects. Get a life!” she wrote. “Using pics of me 15lbs skinnier (before I had my baby [daughter North]) comparing to me now! I still have weight to lose. Anyone who has had a baby knows how hard it is to lose weight (especially the last bit of weight) & your body totally changes!”

Katie Couric Questions Kardashian’s Fame

In August 2013, Katie Couric said she was puzzled as to why Kardashian was famous during an episode of her short-lived talk show, Katie. Days later, Kardashian posted a photo of a Barneys New York pajama set that the journalist sent to her as a gift for her newborn baby North. “#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkS--t,” the new mom captioned the pic.

The Infamous Purse Fight Episode

Early on in the Kardashians’ rise to stardom, Kim and Khloé got into a heated argument after the elder sister purchased a new Bentley in 2008.
