The Suits alum wore her hair down and accessorized with diamond chandelier earrings that Kensington Palace said she borrowed, possibly from Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. Harry, 34, and Meghan’s arrival in Fiji marks the second part of their first royal tour since their May 19 wedding. They spent the past week in Australia and will later visit New Zealand and Tonga. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down in Fiji on Tuesday morning. They were greeted by High Commissioner Melanie Hopkins and chief of protocol Jonetani Tagivetaua.

Meghan (née Markle) wore a white Zimmerman dress and a matching Stephen Jones hat for her arrival at Nausori International Airport. Harry sported a gray suit with three medals.

The duo braved light rain and strong winds as they were introduced to Fiji’s Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama, Leader of Opposition Ro Teimumu Kepa and Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto, among others. A young girl from Bau (where the queen visited in 1982) presented Meghan with a bouquet of flowers.

Warm Welcome

Harry and Meghan later met with Fiji’s President Jioji Konrote before attending an official welcome ceremony at Albert Park, where the pair were offered roast pig, a whale’s tooth and the traditional drink kava.

At the welcome ceremony, the prince told the crowd, “The duchess and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the next two days and celebrating the links and close friendship between Fiji and the United Kingdom.”

Harry noted during his speech that he was feeling “particularly nostalgic ... as a young married couple” with Meghan because his grandparents, Elizabeth and Prince Philip, “stayed in this very hotel, the Grand Pacific, a number of times over the years.” He told the officials that he and Meghan “feel very luck to be spending part of our tour as your guests.”
