Stars Go Nude on Twitter and Instagram

Baring it all. Chelsea Handler, Matthew McConaughey, Gwyneth Paltrow and more stars haven't been afraid to disrupt social media by posting photos of themselves while in the nude. Whether the former Chelsea Lately host is topless or pantless, she hasn't shied away from sharing NSFW snaps on social media. In 2014, the New Jersey native recreated Kim Kardashian's Paper magazine cover that broke the internet. "Can you believe more than 2 ass can fit on the same screen?" she captioned the photo. "Guess which one's real. Your move, Instagram." Handler has also posed naked in honor of her friends' birthdays, including Maria Sharapova and Reese Witherspoon. “Happy birthday to my bear @mariasharapova. Sending love from me and my bonsai. #tokyo,” the stand-up comedian shared the racy snap via Instagram in April 2016. Later that month, the Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea author shared that she thought “nudity is funny, especially when it’s inappropriate" in an interview with Fast Company. "Would I do these things if I wasn’t famous?" Handler reflected at the time. "No. If I didn’t have something to promote, I wouldn’t. It’s just something you have to do right now.” [jwplayer A6b52KfZ-zhNYySv2] In February 2021, Handler shared a video of herself skiing in nothing but ski boots, a helmet, royal blue underwear and pasties printed with the Canadian flag on them. “It’s important to stay hydrated as well as relaxed, and it’s also important to celebrate your body no matter what age or size. This is 46 (with some peptides) and as I transition into a mountain woman I want to give a big shout out to the two countries I have the strongest ties to,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. Meanwhile, Paltrow posed in her birthday suit to commemorate her 48th birthday. "In nothing but my birthday suit today… thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to @goop ‘s insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off. #goopgenes,” the Emmy-winning actress wrote via Instagram. While friends of the Goop founder were supportive, her daughter Apple — with whom she shares with ex Chris Martin — was not pleased, commenting, "MOM" on the photo. Paltrow responded to her child's comment with three laughing-crying emojis. In honor of National Pickle Day in November 2022, the Dazed and Confused actor — and pickle enthusiast — posted a throwback nude photo of himself holding a pickle jar. The Oscar winner shared a throwback nude photo of himself via Instagram in November 2022, noting that it was in honor of National Pickle Day as he's holding a jar of pickles in the picture. "Pickled," the True Detective captioned the cheeky snap.

"The only thing that is pathetic here is allowing others to set your priorities," she notes inspirationally.
