What Awards Has He Won?
In addition to the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Scully earned the MLB’s Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, an ESPY Icon Award, a lifetime achievement Emmy and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Broadcasters can’t be inducted into The National Baseball Hall of Fame, but in 1982, the organization honored him with the Ford Frick Award, which honors achievements in sportscasting.
