When Will Cassie and Colton Get Married? Everything They've Told Us About Their Future Wedding Plans

Taking their time. Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph’s season of The Bachelor may not have ended with the traditional engagement viewers are used to seeing on the show’s series finales, but the twosome are definitely talking marriage — at their own pace. As fans of the hit ABC show saw back in March, the couple’s relationship nearly didn’t work out after Randolph got cold feet about potentially spending the rest of her life with the athlete and quit the show, prompting his infamous fence jump. A source told Us Weekly that it wasn’t Underwood himself she was nervous about, but the manner in which their relationship was playing out in public. “Cassie’s religious upbringing is a huge part about why she was hesitant to get engaged to Colton,” the insider said in March. “They hardly knew each other and marriage is a serious commitment.” The source added that the speech pathologist student also didn’t “want to put her family in that position.” [jwplayer bx5KaeZP-l3ahXupL] Instead, the twosome got back together — as boyfriend and girlfriend. Randolph has since moved to L.A. to be closer to her beau, though they made the decision not to live together. “We both feel like … living our separate lives but still coming together at the end of the day is what’s most important for us and what’s the right step for where we’re at in our relationship,” Underwood told Extra in April. As for the rest, including marriage and kids, they’re taking things one step at a time. Letting Go of Expectations

Underwood admitted that he was previously bothered by pressure from the show’s fans to put a ring on it. “Very early on coming off of the show … I always felt like I had to defend our relationship, because it didn’t end in engagement and that’s what Bachelor fans are used to,” he told Us in May 2019. “So for the longest time I was defending and trying to set dates … now I’m just like, 'We’re dating, we’re having fun, this is like, the [moment] that we want to really just live in.'”

He added, “We don’t, like … wanna plan anything. We don’t wanna have, like, set expectations or put any pressure on just because that’s what the show told us we had to do. We’re just enjoying being normal, a normal couple.”

Looking to the Future

Still, Randolph told Us that tying the knot is on the couple’s mind. “We really don’t have a timeline,” she confessed to Us in May 2019. “We’ve definitely talked about it, but we’re just enjoying right now and not worrying about it.”

Building a Strong Base

Underwood had the perfect reasoning for waiting to propose to his love. “We just don’t want to rush something that’s going to last forever,” he told Us in May 2019. “I mean, there’s no point in that. We want to build such a strong foundation for ourselves to use to sort of launch us for the rest of our lives and that’s what we’re doing.”

No Perfect Age

Underwood admitted to Us in June 2019 that he previously had a timeline laid out in his head for walking down the aisle. “In a way, I hoped I’d be married by 24 and then going on a reality show at 25 and now I’m 27,” he confessed. “I don’t think there is a perfect age [for marriage], but it’s just sort of the timing of it all and where your life is at.”

... Then Comes Baby?

Underwood and Randolph are also talking kids. “I want to be a young, cool, hip dad and I know Cass wants to be a young mom as well, so we’ll see whatever that means to us,” he told Us in June 2019. “That’s a conversation that we’re gonna have to have and figure out.”

United Front

“Me and him are 100 percent on the same page,” Randolph told Us in September 2019. “So, when you hear things out there, when people are saying, ‘They’re not on the same page.’ I’m like, ‘You’re not in this relationship!’ We actually are. We’re really good. We’re in a good spot.”

The Shock Factor

Underwood reiterated in October 2019 that the twosome are “still building our life together” and “don’t have a timeline” for an engagement. However, he teased how the moment would eventually happen. “I’m big on surprises,” he explained. “I like big, elaborate surprises in general and doing grandiose things for her.”
