Gal Gadot-Varsano was born on April 30, 1985, is an Israeli actress, veteran and model who recently starred in movies such as Red Notice (with Ryan Reynolds on Netflix) and Death on the Nile. The model made her cinematic debut in the 2009 film Fast & Furious, where she portrayed Gisele, and continued to appear throughout the Fast franchise. Of course, we can’t forget her role as Wonder Woman in DC Comics movies. As one of America’s favorite Hollywood actresses, she has become an A-list actor within just a few years. Gadot catapulted to stardom with her iconic role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder, and also appeared in Justice League (2017). Her starring role in Wonder Woman (directed by Patty Jenkins) as Diana Prince made it the 3rd highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman of all time in the United States, according to Forbes. However, she credits a large portion of this success to her husband, Yaron Varsano. The former Miss Israel’s husband has proven to be a strong support system for the actress and their children. Gadot told Baby Magazine UK, “He’s the best. I love every moment I spend with him and my daughters. ... But even though we are both busy with our work, family life comes first. Who Is Yaron Varsano?

Gadot’s husband Yaron Varsano grew up with a Jewish family in the Netherlands. Born in Amsterdam on June 23, 1975, he lived most of his life in Europe and even started university there before switching to the New York Institute of Technology.

After graduating in 2000, he focused on his career as a real-estate developer in Tel Aviv. Gadot convinced the aspiring business mogul to start a hotel with his brother. Together, they co-created and built the Varsano Hotel in Tel Aviv. This mansion turned into a fancy hotel that they later sold for $20 million.

The wealthy entrepreneur shifted priorities upon selling the hotel. After selling the rest of his real estate acquisitions and developed properties, he turned his focus to Gadot’s career. 

In 2019, Deadline reported the two started the Pilot Wave Motion Pictures Company and focused on creating significant roles for women. In an Instagram post, the Wonder Woman star explained their reasoning behind sharing these women’s stories: "As producers, we want to help bring stories that have inspired us to life. Pilot Wave will create content that promotes the perspectives and experiences of unique people and produce impactful stories aimed at igniting the imagination.”

Varsano appeared in Wonder Woman 1984 (alongside their daughters Alma and Maya). It was a quick cameo, but it was very meaningful to Gadot.

How Did Gal Gadot Meet Her Husband Yaron Varsano?

In 2006, the fateful encounter between the star actress and her man occurred in the middle of the Israeli desert. 

Gadot recalls the memory in her 2016 Glamour cover interview, “We met nearly 10 years ago through mutual friends at this very strange party in the Israeli desert. It was all about yoga, chakras and eating healthy — we didn't exactly find ourselves there, but we found each other.” 

The two hit it off, and Gadot even called him to set up a date. The pair immediately began dating that very week. Varsano made his position clear as well early on: He wanted to propose to Gadot within two years of dating.

A Secret Engagement and Intimate Wedding

After two years of dating, Versano proposed to the beautiful model. Gadot told Vanity Fair that he was “a man of his word.” When asked about the engagement, Gadot kept to herself the secrets surrounding the proposal. She never shared a single photo of the event.

Shortly after the proposal, they got married in Israel in 2008, many years before most of America even knew of her. And after 14 years of marriage, as of 2022, they are still going strong.

A Supportive Husband

In 2015, Gadot was at her wit's end and nearly quit acting altogether. The commute between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles for auditions, multiple callbacks and camera tests were taxing enough, but when they ultimately led to rejections, it was discouraging for the actress.

"There's so much rejection in this world that I was like, 'Wow! Maybe it's not for me,'" she said on an episode of Sunday Today.

She reconsidered going back to law school to support her family, but her husband encouraged her to not give up on her dream. She reminded herself what kind of role model she wanted to be for their daughter Alma. Thinking of her baby girl reignited her passion.

Only two weeks later, she earned the role of Wonder Woman, and their lives have never been the same.

Do Gal Gadot and Yaron Varsano Have Children?

In 2011, Gadot and Varsano welcomed their first child into the world. They named her Alma, and a sweet family began.

Years later, Gadot was pregnant with their second child while filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. When Wonder Woman began shooting, the pregnancy was difficult to hide from her costars, so they announced the news to the world. The couple’s second daughter, Maya, was born in March 2017.

The couple welcomed their third daughter, Daniella in 2021. "My sweet family," Gal wrote in an Instagram post. "I couldn't be more grateful and happy (and tired 🤪) we are all so excited to welcome Daniella into our family. I'm sending all of you love and health."
