Blushing bride, indeed! Allison Williams posted a breathtaking shot of herself and new husband Ricky Van Veen on Instagram in the early hours of Sunday, Sept. 20 — not too long after she and Van Veen exchanged vows out West on Saturday, Sept. 19.

In the stunning image, Williams, 27, and entrepreneur Van Veen, 34, look relaxed and in love as they stroll hand in hand across what looks like a prairie, with rolling mountains in the background.

Williams is wearing her handmade white couture Oscar de la Renta gown, strapless and with a beaded overlay that runs all the way down the length of her arms. In the sunny snap, the Girls actress can be seen smiling off into the distance as Van Veen looks over at her.

The happy couple tied the knot in a gathering of close family and friends the afternoon before, at a ranch ceremony that included famous faces such as Katy Perry, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, Bee Shaffer, Andy Cohen, Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson (who plays Williams’ mother on Girls), and Williams’ costar Lena Dunham.

Van Veen popped the question in late February after the pair had been dating for three years, and in an interview with Seth Meyers in March, Williams couldn’t stop gushing about how excited she was to marry the College Humor co-founder.

“I was completely surprised,” she said of the proposal at the time. “The funniest thing about that is I consider myself someone who is impossible to surprise, and yet I am constantly surprised by things. But I walk around the world poised and ready for a surprise.”

“And yet a surprise snuck through on you,” Meyers quipped.

“A total surprise and the best kind of surprise,” she said. “We’re really, really thrilled.”

Earlier this year, it was rumored that the pair had to postpone their wedding plans for a bit when Williams’ father, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, faced criticism for embellishing news stories back in February. (The newsman apologized on air for false claims he made about an assignment in Iraq; he was later suspended and subsequently reassigned to MSNBC.)
