Amal's all business! George Clooney's fiancee Amal Alamuddin returned to work on Thursday, May 15, looking professional and polished in a bold blue suit.
The London-based barrister, 36, stepped out in a cobalt blazer and matching knee-length pleated skirt. Alamuddin paired her ladylike look with nude stilettos and a camel-colored purse. Undeterred by gawkers and photographers, the Lebanon-born beauty let her newly-styled long brunette tresses flow in the wind as she confidently walked ahead.
For her first day back on the job, Alamuddin—looking relaxed and ready to conquer more cases—made a trip to the American Embassy. After Alamuddin's engagement news to Clooney, 53, broke in late April, she took a brief respite. The human rights lawyer and her fiance went on a safari vacation to Tanzania and, just last weekend, celebrated their engagement at a party with Clooney's celebrity pals in L.A.
The barristers and bosses at Doughty Street Chambers must be pleased to have the accomplished lawyer back. After Us Weekly confirmed her engagement news, the chief executive at Alamuddin's firm gushed of his employee: "She brings a bright light to everything she is involved in, and I am so delighted at her happy news."
Clooney agrees, too! A source close to the actor told Us that Alamuddin is "the full package." Added another insider: "This is the healthiest relationship I've ever seen George in. Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl."
