Post-Cannes casual! Bella Hadid made a fashion 180 after sporting a slew of flowing couture gowns at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in France. On her first day back stateside, the younger sister of Gigi Hadid donned a pair of cutoff jeans with a matching, oversized denim jacket.
To spruce up her modified Canadian tuxedo, Hadid added a pink bustier top, which she wore tucked into her high-waisted ’80s-era shorts on Sunday, May 22. She completed her casual Cali style with black Nike sneakers, a baseball cap and a Givenchy handbag with a festive fur pom pom attached.
The corset-inspired top highlighted her décolletage, but that’s not the first time she has shown major skin recently. During the premiere of The Unknown Girl in Cannes on May 18, she narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction in a red Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress, which featured both a plunging neckline and a hipbone-high slit.
But even in tough situations — like a misbehaving dress — Hadid, whose mother is former model and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, knows how to snap the perfect pic. “My mom always taught me to think about something happy when I’m working, because it kind of shows through your face,” Hadid, whose father is Mohamed Hadid, told Elle for the June 2016 issue. “I used to think about my horses, but now I think about other things.”
The middle Hadid child has plenty to make her smile these days, including her eighth cover of the year and her relationship with The Weeknd, who she attended the Met Gala with on May 2.
“I’m so proud of you baby!” she wrote on May 22 next to a pic of her man carrying an armful of Billboard Music Awards. “❤️…hardest working man I know and the MOST deserving!!! Pays off!!! Congrats 👑 @abelxo.”
