Life imitating art! Beyoncé slayed (all day) in Lemonade-themed accessories while soaking up the sun in Hawaii on Monday, June 20.
The “Formation” singer, 34, whose most recent album Lemonade was released in April, rocked the Floral Body Suit by Cia Maritima ($180, ciamaritimaus.com). The kaleidoscope-design rashguard one-piece with side cutouts showed off her toned legs and teeny waist. The long-sleeved suit also featured bright yellow lemons in the center.
But the Lemonade party didn’t stop there. The “Sorry” songstress also adorned her head with a crown of lemons and decorated her décolletage with the fruit-themed necklace, both by Sugarbird. She also shared a pic wearing a lemon-printed Copacabana dress also by Sugarbird.
And even though the album featured less-than-flattering lyrics widely speculated to be about her husband of eight years, Jay Z, the “99 Problems” rapper was right by her side on the beach. The two even shared a kiss while balancing on some rocks near the water.
While Bey’s had her say on the topic, Jay Z, who shares daughter Blue Ivy, 4, with the “Sandcastles” singer, has only just begun to hint at his side of the story. He released a rap via Tidal on May 25 that addressed the issue for the first time. “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions,” the lyrics say. “Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is / Survival of the littlest.”
And the story continues from there. “Jay is working on an album telling his side of things,” a source close to the couple revealed to Us Weekly in May. And the collaboration that Jay and Bey were working on prior to the Lemonade release, which was shelved because of record label issues, may yet see the light of day.
According to Billboard, the album is still being considered. A Sony source tells the magazine that the record label is “open to” partnering with the duo on such a project.
