Emma Stone Dazzles in Classy Cutouts at Amazing Spider-Man 2 NYC Premiere

While some celebs are busy making headlines for their panty-flashing cutout looks, Emma Stone showed that the trendy style can actually be classy.

For the New York premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Thursday, April 24, the actress who plays Gwen Stacy wore a nude slip dress by Prada. In addition to onyx and silver paillettes along the straps and bodice, the gown also featured the red carpet trend of cutouts. Each side panel exposed her bare skin from the armpit to the waist, providing a hint of sexiness (not raunchiness) to the classic silhouette.

To complement the gown, celeb makeup artist Rachel Goodwin focused on Stone's lips. "Overall we wanted to create a look that was very glamorous and modern but with a 1970's twist," Goodwin said in a press release. "I definitely focused on luminous glowy skin and bold berry lips."

Goodwin achieved the look on the Revlon ambassador by blending Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain in Adore and Chanel Aqua Crayon Lip Colour Stick in Rosewood with Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Raisin Rage. To highlight Stone's complexion, she used Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator in Bare Light and added a touch of color with Revlon Cream Blush in Flushed.

For The Help star's red-carpet debut of her new bangs, Mara Roszak, who has styled Stone's impeccable looks during the promotional tour, created textured loose waves. She first rough-dried the hair and set it with Velcro rollers for volume. Then she added wave with a 1 1/4-inch iron, alternating between curling the hair away from the face and toward the face. Roszak finished by spraying L'Oreal Advanced Hairstyle TXT It Tousle Wave Spray, rough-drying the hair again, and sealing the style with L'Oreal Paris Elnett Extra Strong Hold Hairspray.
