Did you expect anything less? The trailer for The First Monday in May, the documentary about Anna Wintour‘s annual Met Gala, just dropped, and it shows what a force the fashion doyenne was while planning the 2015 gala, China: Through the Looking Glass.
Wintour, 66, in all her bobbed perfection, can be seen zooming around the Metropolitan Museum of Art — the gala’s venue — while making cutthroat decisions: which celebs will sit where, what decorations will be used and just how much Vogue is willing to pay Rihanna to perform. According to the New York Post, it’s quite the sum, though no one has revealed an exact amount just yet.

The Post story also revealed a few more notable details from the film that aren’t in the trailer, including the fact that Wintour is not above getting her hands dirty — literally. “We’d be in our gowns and picking up tables and sweeping the floors … if there’s garbage on the floor,” Vogue’s former head of events Stephanie Wolkoff said. “Anna does that, too.”
The fashion bible’s editor in chief also has very specific food requests. No parsley is to be used — “because you don’t want that stuck in your teeth,” a Vogue employee dished to the Post. Smelly onions and garlics, as well as messy bruschetta, are also banned.

But the biggest rule of all? No cell phones. While guests can pull out their phones for a quick selfie, excessive texting is forbidden, a point made when Wintour asks that if one of the previous year’s poorly behaved guests insists on attending, “Can he not be on his cell phone the entire time?”
