Gwen Stefani tapped into her grunge rocker side on Wednesday, Feb. 25, in Hollywood. Known for setting the trends with her own quirky style, it looked like Stefani was aiming to channel the late great Kurt Cobain with her latest street style look.
In 1993, Cobain attended the MTV Video Music Awards with his wife, Courtney Love by his side and their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Just like the Nirvana guitarist's red carpet look, Stefani, 45, hit the streets in a blue and white striped shirt, bright red sunglasses, and loose-fitting denim — however, her jeans were splashed with white paint.
Stefani expressed her love for rocking pants to Harper's Bazaar. "I always do a jump suit, I always do a suit," she told the mag in September 2014. "I always do a drop crotch pant, I love that."
The L'Oreal Paris brand ambassador naturally added her signature red pout and nails for a glam effect. The former Voice judge completed the edgy outfit with gladiator sandals.
