So. Many. Containers. Khloe Kardashian never has to worry about all of her necklaces knotting up together in a huge nest of gold chains, thanks to her insanely organized lifestyle.
In case you missed her cookie stacking tutorial, Kardashian, 32, is a self-professed neat freak. She’s even created the term “Khlo-CD” to talk about why she washes bed sheets every two days and gets new pillows every six months. Now, she’s taking her skills to her jewelry box.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed in a new video on her website that she became inspired after coming across the 12-Case 4″ x 6″ Photo Storage Carrier ($25, thecontainerstore.com), a clear caboodle-like box for printed pics. Instead of filling each of the cases inside with snapshots of her famous family, Kardashian filed away her necklaces, rings and signature hoop earrings in groups of four.
And she didn’t stop there. “I took pictures [with] my iPhone and I printed them out and…taped each picture [to the 4-inch x 6-inch container],” she says of her process. “When I’m looking, I don’t have to open every single box, I know what’s in here just by the pictures. It’s super easy… Everything’s clean and neat.”
The process makes jet-setting a breeze, too. “I just take a box, fill it up with six different hoops and use it as my jewelry travel bag,” she explains. “I’m a very visual person, so to have my pictures here and I know exactly what’s in this container — it just makes my day.”
It’s not just her storage for hoops and necklaces either, it’s also how she files away pasties and fashion petals. “Breast concealers — perfect [for that]!” the Strong Looks Better Naked author says. “This box literally has anything and everything in it, and it’s just so you don’t have clutter everywhere.”
Kardashian spent about an hour sorting through and filing all her baubles — pictures, tape and all. Labeling everything was the final touch of the project. “I am obsessed with label-makers,” she notes in a sing-song voice. Her favorite is the Brother P-Touch Label Maker ($70, officedepot.com).
