Lupita has done it again!
The 12 Years a Slave Oscar and BAFTA nominee stunned on the red carpet on Feb. 16 in London in an emerald green Dior Couture gown — a choice that reminds Us of another show-stopping red gown worn by fellow Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence.
Lupita Nyongo’o’s strapless green silk Dior Haute Couture gown with a full skirt and gold Dior belt bears a striking resemblance to the strapless red Dior gown with a gold belt that Lawrence wore to the 2013 Golden Globes. Not that we’re judging: The classic style complements both ladies’ enviable figures and, thanks to the waist-defining belt, highlights an hourglass silhouette.
While Nyong’o, 30, did not win an award at the BAFTAs, she concedes that this awards show season has been like a fairytale. “I’ve been able to have so many princess moments,” the Yale School of Drama grad told Us Weekly at the post-ceremony dinner. “I’m still not used to it, but it’s just so much fun. Everyone is dressed up and in great moods.”
