Holiday! Celebrate! Madonna‘s Material Girl Collection is feting its fifth anniversary, and what better way than with a new Material Girl model? Enter Sofia Richie, Nicole Richie‘s little sister and the latest pretty face of Madge’s clothing line.
As Material Girl is marking a big birthday—#CheersTo5Years is the tagline—the brunette beauty, 16, worked the label’s teen-perfect pieces in a party-inspired shoot, complete with a multi-tier cake, streamers, and a slew of balloons. Better yet, Sofia could not look more thrilled to be rocking the chic threads.
“Being the face of Material Girl is just so cool,” Lionel Richie‘s daughter exclusively told Us Weekly. “I’ve followed Madonna’s style since I was a little girl, and I feel that she’s so edgy and cool.”
And Madonna seems just as pleased to have tapped the budding starlet. “Sofia Richie perfectly embodies the style and spirit of Material Girl and is the ideal new face for the line,” the “Bitch I’m Madonna” singer said in a statement.
She’s not the only one who thinks so! Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes “Lola” Leon, who co-launched Material Girl with her mama in 2010, is thrilled to be bringing another musical scion into the fold. “Coming from an artistic family, self-expression is in our blood,” Leon, 18, said. “I love Sofia’s style and energy, and look forward to collaborating with her.”
