Jessa Budgeted the Whole Thing

The couple recruited volunteers to help with their ceremony and reception, and Jessa controlled the purse strings — mom Michelle Duggar revealed that her third-eldest daughter kept a strict budget and reused many accessories from her sister Jill’s wedding.

Sierra Planned It All

Jill and Ben’s wedding was the first event coordinated solo by Sierra, the Duggar family’s event planner. “I just plan to make sure I’m delegating properly, make sure I’ve got all my quantities correct, and pray,” she said of the gigantic task of accommodating all 1000 guests (plus the happy couple).

The Duggars Love the Seewalds!

Duggar patriarch Jim Bob dedicated a sweet speech at the rehearsal dinner to Jessa’s new in-laws, and the families were complimentary of each other throughout the two-day celebration, from rehearsal to reception.

So Emotional, Baby

Jessa tried to stave off nerves by telling herself she just wasn’t nervous about it, but eventually got emotional just like everyone else. When Jim Bob began to cry while giving her a pep talk before they walked down the aisle together, the tears started flowing.

Here Comes the Bride

Once the ceremony started, though, it went off without a hitch. 19 Kids actually showed a good portion of the wedding — except for one pivotal moment.

First Kiss

As reported at the time, Duggar and her new husband saved their first kiss for an off-camera moment during their wedding day. “I can tell you right now they’re smooching and so the bottom line the more I talk the more they can smooch in private. So if I could just have your attention for three hours,” joked their pastor when they snuck off to share their intimate moment.

I Scream, You Scream

Instead of a traditional cake, the couple went with an ice cream sundae bar. And it was awesome.

Without a Hitch

After all was said and done, Jessa and Ben Seewald were pretty pleased with how their special day turned out. “We looked back and thought man, that was perfect. It couldn’t have gone better,” Jessa said.

19 Kids and Counting airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
