The highs and lows of love! Filming on Nick Viall‘s The Bachelor season is under way, and the two-time Bachelorette runner-up has been enjoying some carnival fun with a lucky lady, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly.
Season 21 star Viall went on a date earlier this week at Balboa Fun Zone, in Newport Beach, California, where the two took a ride on a Ferris wheel. His season started shooting last weekend.
“It seemed like they were enjoying themselves,” the source tells Us about the carnival adventure.
Viall’s Bachelor in Paradise season 3 costar Ashley Iaconetti posted a photo to Instagram Saturday, September 24, of herself and sister Lauren getting dinner with Viall and Jared Haibon.
In the caption, Ashley referred to the meal as the “last time I got to hangout with my good friend @nickviall before they whisked him away on his Bachelor journey. He meets the girls for the first time tonight, and I already miss him!”
Viall, who dated Jen Saviano on Paradise, was the Bachelorette season 10 runner-up, where he lost Andi Dorfman‘s final rose to Josh Murray. Last year, the 36-year-old Milwaukee native came in second behind Shawn Booth for Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s love on The Bachelorette season 11.
The Bachelorette season 12 standout, Luke Pell, was seen as a likely front-runner for The Bachelor, and he had told Us exclusively earlier this month that producers had led him to believe he would get the coveted role. Producers finally informed him otherwise just 11 hours before his scheduled flight to Los Angeles to accept the gig on After Paradise.
The Bachelor season 21 premieres on ABC in January 2017.
