Ben Affleck Hilariously Smuggles Jimmy Kimmel’s Nemesis Matt Damon Onto Late-Night Show

The battle continues. Ben Affleck may be best friends with Matt Damon, but that doesn’t mean Jimmy Kimmel is ready to welcome his nemesis onto his talk show.

Damon, who has had a long-running faux feud with the late-night host after supposedly getting a little too close to Kimmel’s ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman, arrived on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live in a clever disguise — he was hidden under his best friend’s oversize coat.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice star Affleck strolled onto the set of Kimmel’s After the Oscars special on Sunday, February 28, with a huge lump under his coat — and out popped Damon, looking a little red-faced and sweaty. The crowd went wild.

“I just think it’s gone on long enough,” Affleck said of his BFF and the host’s mutual (faked) animosity. “I think it’s time to bury the hatchet.”

But Kimmel wasn’t interested.

As Affleck invited his Good Will Hunting costar to take a seat, Kimmel ranted at Damon: “You’re ruining the Oscar show. Nobody wants you here.” He subsequently had the Oscar winner wheeled off the stage.

Once Damon was gone, Affleck — whose appearance came just days after his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, opened up about their split in an interview in Vanity Fair — talked about dressing up as Batman for his 4-year-old son Samuel’s superhero-theme birthday party the previous day.

Explaining that his little boy with Garner had told him he wanted the “real Batman,” the two-time Academy Award winner had to call the studio to ask if he could borrow his Batman suit.

After signing a guarantee that he wouldn’t damage the suit, Affleck slipped it on, along with “the scary face.”

“It was mortifying,” he said. “I didn’t think — all the parents were there.”

The pair then talked about his upcoming film, and Affleck showed a “deleted” scene from Batman vs. Superman featuring Kimmel and Affleck along with Superman (Henry Cavill), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and “Lego Batman” (Will Arnett).
