‘The Biggest Loser’ Star Dolvett Quince’s Recap: Team Member Showed ‘Moment of Poor Sportsmanship’

We started the Biggest Loser's Monday, February 1, episode with a very powerful challenge: Whichever team won got to send one player home for the week and select a player from the opposite team to also go home for the week — but the catch was that each of those two at-home players would be the only people to weigh in for their teams. Jen's team won the challenge and decided to send Luis home, with his twin brother Roberto from my team going home with him.

At the weigh-in, we learned that whoever lost, the person below the red line on their team got sent home. Despite a nail-biting weigh-in that pitted brother against brother, my team lost by a pound, and that sadly meant that Rob was automatically eliminated. He was a great influence on our team.

Then everyone moved to individuals. Sticking with this season’s theme of “Temptation Nation,” each contestant was told that the gym was closed and the kitchen was closed. In order to get ready for the real world, they were given a car for the week, and inside was their first temptation decision: Wine tasting or training with Jen, 20 miles away. Everyone worked out with Jen, except Colby and Jacky, who went to the wine tasting.

At the first challenge as individuals, Felicia won immunity by a hair over Luis. In a moment of poor sportsmanship, Roberto snarked that Luis “gave the weakest one immunity,” which did not go over well with the other contestants, especially Erin, which sparked a demand of respect for women. Here, we saw the alliance of men vs. women emerge.

The girls had a much-needed girls night out, and after talking a bit about strategy (and many shots), they went and got piercings. They didn’t show it, but I bet their hangover was brutal.

Next temptation was choosing between working out with a trainer (me) or parasailing over the Pacific. Since Felicia had immunity, she opted for parasailing, but so did Jacky and Lauren. So I worked out the guys and Erin, hangover and all.

At the weigh-in, my team pulled off another win, and Lauren and Luis fell below the yellow line.

The elimination came down to Stephen's vote, and even though the men assumed he would stick with the alliance and vote out Lauren, he went with strategy and decided to go against his alliance and sent Luis home.

Rob has lost 100 pounds! Never underestimate the “old man” because he continues to show us all that age ain’t nothing but a number. And Luis lost 105 pounds. That smile was mighty big when we caught up with him at home.

So what did you think? Do you like the men vs. women alliance? How long do you think it will last? Would you choose training? Parasailing? Or wine tasting?

The Biggest Loser airs on NBC Mondays at 9 p.m. EST. Dolvett Quince has been a trainer on the show since season 12 and is recapping each season 17 episode for Us Weekly.
