Bindi Irwin Reveals the Creative Place She Might Put Her Mirrorball Trophy After Her DWTS Win!

Crikey! On Tuesday, Nov. 24, Bindi Irwin and her partner, Derek Hough, took home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy as they became the Season 21 winners of Dancing With the Stars.

The overjoyed animal conservationist, 17, who has been a front-runner all season, had already put some thought into where she’d place her disco ball-shaped honor, thanks to Hough.

“She should put it in the zoo in the middle of the croc pond!” the Emmy-winning choreographer, 30, suggested to Us Weekly. “Surrounded by all the crocodiles and put it in the middle so they’ll be guarding it. So everybody can look at it from afar but the crocodiles will be all around it.”

After night two of the big finale, Irwin took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support, posting a photo of her win and writing, “I am speechless. I can’t tell you how much love I have for all of your support throughout this beautiful journey.”

As much as the win has meant to her, Irwin told Us: “Honestly I’m excited to get back into my khakis and be with the animals again.”

Irwin beat out fellow contestants Alek Skarlatos and Nick Carter, thanks, in part, to her emotional freestyle and high-scoring quickstep from Monday night’s show. It was Hough’s sixth DWTS win.
