Bachelor In Paradise’s Caila Quinn Says Her ‘Heart Needs a Break’ After Jared Haibon Split

Caila Quinn is holding off on swiping right — or left — for now. After her tumultuous relationship with fellow Bachelor In Paradise contestant Jared Haibon ended in mid-August, the NYC stunner has decided to spend more time embracing the single life, she exclusively reveals to Us Weekly.

“I’m fresh off the press,” the 24-year-old, who originally vied for Ben Higgins’ heart on The Bachelor season 20, jokes to Us. “I’m very outgoing and I think I’ll probably go on a date to get back into things, but I feel like my heart needs a break to take a deep breath.”

In the meantime, she’s clearing the air about what really went down between her and Haibon — and his best friend Ashley Iaconetti. While on Paradise, Iaconetti was determined to take down Quinn and Haibon’s romance. (Refresher: Iaconetti and Haibon hit it off last summer on Bachelor In Paradise season 2. But, unfortunately for Iaconetti, Haibon’s feelings just weren’t as strong.) Finally, the meddling became too much for Quinn on season 3. She packed her bags and hauled herself out of Mexico with Haibon naturally trailing behind her. Back home, the duo dated for six weeks — she even met his parents — but eventually they realized they just couldn’t make it work.

“If we’re being frank, we weren’t the right fit. It wasn’t Ashley who broke us up. If we were really in love then that would have worked out, but we’re just two different personalities,” Quinn says. “Ashley and I made up and she is so unbelievably sweet. It’s nice to be out of the Paradise setting and hang out.”

Still, she’s pulling for BIP‘s Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray now that they’re back on U.S. soil. “Amanda and Josh were meant to be,” she tells Us of the pair, who got engaged on the show’s Sept. 6 finale. “He’s so protective and honest. Josh is a real man and that’s what she’s always wanted. I’m so happy for her.”
