Danity Kane Drops Comeback Single “Lemonade” With Tyga: Listen

Danity Kane is officially back! The reformed girl group released their comeback single “Lemonade” on Thursday, May 15.

The catchy track is reminiscent of Danity Kane’s early hits. Set against a strong beat, “Lemonade” features the boastful lyrics DK does best as the girls sing, “I feel your eyes on me / I like how it feels / I hope that you enjoy your five / But I’ll take it from here / I’m late to the party, but always on time.”

Originally created by P. Diddy through MTV’s Making the Band reality competition series in 2005, Danity Kane split in 2009. Made up of singers Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and D. Woods, the group was successful during its initial run, releasing hits such as “Show Stopper” and “Damaged.”

Danity Kane surprised fans late last year when they reunited and announced plans to record new music without Diddy and without one of the original members. D. Woods, who has been pursuing a solo career, chose not to rejoin the band.

With the release of “Lemonade,” there is speculation that Danity Kane is now down to three members. The cover art for the track depicts three young girls selling lemonade, and while O’Day, Bex, and Richard all hyped the new single, Fimbres has been noticeably quiet.
