Don’t be tardy for the finale! The Wednesday, December 14, episode of Bravo’s Kim Zolciak–centered reality show, Don’t Be Tardy, was full of ups and downs and some seriously unexpected health drama. But, hey, at least we got to meet Brielle’s hunky new baseball-playing boyfriend, Boston Red Sox minor league pitcher Michael Kopech.
Kim Has an Abnormality on Her EKG
The episode began at Kim’s doctor’s office, six weeks after her initial heart monitor test. We got chills when her doctor told her, “I did see a small abnormality on your EKG.” He then referred her to an electrocardiologist. Kim was shaken. She said in a testimonial, “Even after my stroke, my EKG was perfect.”
Michael Kopech Wants Brielle to Move in With Him
On a lighter note, we got to meet Brielle’s hunky but humorless boyfriend in this episode. While on a video call with the fastball-throwing Red Sox player, Brielle introduced her new boo to family chef Tracey Bloom. Brielle gushed about her boyfriend, Michael Kopech, saying, “He’s just, like, everything I’ve ever wanted in a guy.”
After not laughing at one of Tracey’s hilarious jokes, Tracey slammed Brielle’s bae by saying, “He doesn’t seem very interested in humor.” Brielle later admitted, “He wants me to live with him in the off-season. … Kroy’s like, ‘Not until you’re engaged.’” Brielle moves fast! Kim revealed in a testimonial that “Access Hollywood didn’t work out for Brielle,” so maybe Brielle’s moving window is open after all!
Kim Says “Hell, No” to Brielle Moving in With Michael
When the topic of Brielle’s impending potential move came up during a family dinner, Kim quickly put the kibosh on any immediate plans, saying, “Oh, hell, no.” In a testimonial, the wig-loving mother of six confessed about her eldest, “She changes her mind like she changes her underwear.” Maybe she doesn’t change her underwear that often!
Kroy Still Has No NFL Offers
Later in the dinner, Ariana asked a despondent Kroy Biermann, “Doesn’t football start next week?” Brielle then jumped in, asking, “Do you know where you’re gonna go?” The NFL free agent responded bleakly, saying, “No …” Kim later revealed that amid her current health scare, “the thought of Kroy going to another state makes me very anxious.”
Then Kroy held a family meeting, insisting that Ariana and Brielle help out Kim while she’s having health problems. Kroy said sternly, “Until we figure out what’s going on with her, we would really appreciate your continued help.”
Doctor Tells Kim She Needs Further Testing
Later at the hospital, Kim met with an electrocardiologist to discuss her extensive family history of heart disease. The doctor told Kim and Kroy chillingly, “That’s definitely a red flag.” Things started to get real when the doctor told Kim, “Some of the symptoms you’re having are not normal,” and encouraged further testing.
The season wrapped up with text on the screen telling us that Kim is continuing with heart testing at various hospitals in Atlanta. It also, sadly, revealed that Kroy was signed and then later released by the Buffalo Bills. What a sad way to say goodbye! Let’s hope next season starts with better news!
