A perfect plus-one! Sarah Paulson brought Marcia Clark as her date to the 2016 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 18 — and we were totally seeing double.
The 41-year-old actress, who portrayed Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, arrived on the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater with the famed prosecutor, 63, by her side.
Paulson, who is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role as the attorney in the hit FX crime series, looked stunning in a glimmering green Prada gown. Clark, meanwhile, rocked a gorgeous black dress.
Before arriving at the star-studded ceremony, the Without a Doubt author tweeted, “On the way to the Emmys with @MsSarahpaulson. It’s 120 degrees lol! #soeffinhot.”
Earlier this month, Clark confirmed during an interview with Access Hollywood that she’d be attending the 2016 Emmys with Paulson. “I was incredibly honored that Sarah asked me to go with her to the Emmys, and it will be my privilege to be there to cheer her on,” the prosecutor told the news outlet on Thursday, September 8.
Paulson is also nominated tonight for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role as Sally McKenna in American Horror Story: Hotel.
On the red carpet, the Emmy nominee gave a shout-out to her girlfriend, actress Holland Taylor, saying: “Hi Holland, if you’re watching! I love you!”
Taylor heard the message loud and clear and responded from home via Twitter, writing, “If I’m watching…?? If I’m WATCHING??? YES, I’m watching–!!! good LORD! … I LOVE you!!!”
The 2016 Emmy Awards air on ABC Sunday, September 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
