They literally can’t even! Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift released their new duet, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” Thursday, December 8, and, naturally, their fans are losing their minds on social media.
Swift, 26, and the former One Direction star, 23, surprised fans Thursday night when they revealed that they teamed up for the track, which will be featured on the soundtrack for Fifty Shades Darker. This is the first time Swift has released new music since her 2014 album, 1989.
Not long after the “Wildest Dreams” singer shared an extended clip of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” — accompanied by a supersteamy trailer for the risqué movie — the song dropped on iTunes and quickly soared to the No. 1 spot.
Given fans’ Twitter reactions, it’s no surprise that the sexy tune was an instant hit. Take a look at some of the best responses to Swift and Malik’s collaboration below:

Prior to dropping “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” Malik teased fans by posting a black-and-white photo of himself, Swift and her pet cat on Instagram Wednesday, December 7. “#idontwannaliveforever,” he captioned the pic.
Once the song made its way online, Swift squad member Lena Dunham — who is dating “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” cowriter Jack Antonoff — took to Instagram to congratulate her pal.
“Holy motherf–king shit!!!” she captioned the promotional poster of the soundtrack. “My boyfriend is a genius and he wrote the new single from Fifty Shades Darker with Sam Dew and my girl @taylorswift (who has never sounded more sultry) and then there's @zayn blowing up my whole heart. SO. DAMN. PROUD of @jackantonoff ❤️👅❤️ On iTunes now I just bought itttttttt."
Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters February 10, 2017.
