This probably won’t end well. Farrah Abraham’s mom, Debra Danielsen, gets into a heated argument with her daughter’s boyfriend, Simon Saran, in a preview for the Monday, August 22, season 6 premiere of Teen Mom OG.
In the clip above, Abraham’s mother asks Saran to step aside during a family function so she can have a word with the San Diego-based real estate agent.
“All right, let me have it. What’s on your mind?” Saran presses Danielsen, seemingly aware that his girlfriend’s mother is ready to attack.
“One of my greatest needs is respect. So if you f–k with my respect, it doesn’t make me happy,” she tells Saran. “So … I’ve never once been [convicted] of anything [for] domestic violence, of hurting anybody. Like, you think I’m a liar and like I’m full of bulls–t.”
Though Saran has never brought it up to Danielsen on TMOG, her comment about “domestic violence” seems to refer to the Nebraska native’s 2010 arrest when she was charged with assault after she allegedly grabbed Abraham, then 18, by the throat and “hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth,” according to a police report.
Saran — who was not dating the MTV personality at the time of the incident — calmly responds to Danielsen in the sneak peek. “I’ve never called you a liar. I’ve never said anything to you,” he says in between interruptions. “…But when you don’t let me finish talking, that’s when I start ignoring you and I don’t listen to what you say.”
Saran then goes on to say that Danielsen (who he has previously butted heads with on-camera) once accused him of being abusive toward the My Teenage Dream Ended author, now 25, and reminded the Mom and Me Foods cofounder that she once called him “passive aggressive” while comparing him to her ex-husband — and Abraham’s dad — Michael.
“I don’t need any judgmental things thrown at me,” Saran tells Danielsen. “You know, I’m very comparable to Michael. I’ll probably take that as a compliment. He works hard. He’s here all the time. He’s helping Farrah out. You may not appreciate that.”
Asked why he doesn’t show the same respect for Danielsen, Saran replies: “If you’re not gonna have Farrah’s back and you’re not gonna f–king protect her …” The grandmother of Sophia, 7, retorts, “I have Farrah’s back!”
