Dangerous dress, but it was worth it! Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke Hernandez had a huge night at the 2016 MTV VMAs and looked gorgeous, but the 23-year-old singer tripped on her dress twice on stage at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28.

Hernandez’s floor-length fishnet dress and sky-high stilettos made maneuvering the stage a little tricky. She almost took a tumble on two separate occasions during the evening.

The first slip happened as Fifth Harmony headed up the stairs and took the stage to accept their award for Best Collaboration for “Work From Home” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. It seems Dinah Jane Hansen accidentally stepped on the train of Hernandez’s gown as they went to accept their Moonman. Hernandez stumbled but caught herself before she hit the floor. But she handled it like a pro and kept her composure as she hugged presenter Jaden Smith

The second spill of the night happened after the girl group presented the Best New Artist award to Joe Jonas’ band, DNCE. As Jonas, 27, was giving his acceptance speech, Hernandez toppled over as she was walking behind him. She grabbed onto bandmate Normani Kordei’s arm to avoid a total wipeout.

Hernandez bounced back after her embarrassing incidents and had a smile on her face throughout the night. Fifth Harmony, who all coordinated in matching black dresses, also took home a Moonman for Song of the Summer for their anthem “All in My Head (Flex)” with Fetty Wap.
