That didn’t take long! Tensions among the suitors are already boiling over on the Finding Prince Charming series premiere on Thursday, September 8, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The Logo dating series’ preview clip shows the 13 gay male contestants chatting with each other during downtime from getting to know hunky star Robert Sepulveda Jr. But things get heated quickly when Sam confronts Robby for seemingly not being his true self.
“Are you always over-the-top like this, or is this just who you are?” Sam asks Robby. Sam tells the camera, “What the hell is going on? Who is this kid, coming into this place with all this energy and calling me ‘darling’ and ‘I love you’ and ‘You are fabulous’? You don’t know any of us — you just walked in the house. It just didn’t seem authentic to me, so I called him out.”
The line of questioning clearly rubs Robby the wrong way, as he fires back that Sam is “conservative” and “beige.” When Sam protests, his new foe points out, “You came in with a pin-striped suit, Mary.”
Robby then criticizes Sam for calling him “fabulous,” but Sam replies, “I didn’t call you fabulous! Fix your dress!”
Not all of the men are eager to lock horns just yet. Fellow suitor Danique says to the camera, “I’m here to get to know Robert. Why would you even engage in something so petty? Why would you waste your energy and time over something that is so insignificant?”
