Back at it and ready to bring her rhythm to the nation! After dropping recent hints, Janet Jackson announced on Monday, June 15, that she is returning to the stage for an upcoming Unbreakable World Tour.
The "Together Again" singer, 49, will hit the road to play shows across the globe for the first time since her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal tour in 2011. Jackson has had a quiet few years and stepped out of the limelight — to get married, among other things — but will be making her grand return with the start of the tour this summer.
Jackson will kick off the run of shows in Vancouver, B.C. on Aug. 31. She will travel throughout Canada before returning stateside for a concert in Grand Rapids, Mich. in September. While there are no scheduled stops in the northeast, she will go on to hit big cities such as Miami, Nashville, Las Vegas, Chicago, and San Francisco, ultimately wrapping the tour in Honolulu, Hawaii on Nov. 12.

Jackson tweeted her excitement for the tour on Monday morning, and shared a behind-the-scenes video from her preparations for the concerts. The quick clip shows spirited dancers performing intricate routines as a part of a competitive audition process for the tour.
The Grammy winner, who married businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2013, has been touring for decades in the 33 years since she made her music debut with 1982's Janet Jackson. Michael Jackson's little sister released her last studio album, Discipline, in 2008, going on to introduce the compilation albums Number Ones / The Best and Icon: Number Ones in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
