Back on track! It’s been a tough season of Teen Mom 2 for star Jenelle Evans. The single mother of two got engaged to Nathan Griffith, split up, and had several domestic disputes that landed each of them in jail. But now the explosive pair have officially called it quits, and Jenelle, 23, is enjoying her single life.
“The hardest moment for this season would have to be me and Nathan not getting along and him moving on to somebody else,” the North Carolina native tells Us Weekly in her new exclusive video interview. “That was just really hard for me to deal with, trying to co-parent with him but not hold a grudge against him and keep him away from my son at the same time.”
The pair share their son Kaiser, 14 months, and have been working to co-parent as Jenelle moves back to North Carolina to be near her mom, Barbara Evans, who has custody of Jenelle’s son Jace, 6, from ex Andrew Lewis.
And though Jenelle has admittedly been in a series of tumultuous relationships, she has a particular type of girl in mind to date her boys in the future.
“The kind of girl I would want my sons to date is someone that likes to have fun, but someone who is loyal and faithful to them but also shows them love and affection,” she dishes.
Jenelle also opens up about some of her fellow MTV stars. She tells Us that Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell is her favorite of all the Teen Moms. So other stars include Chelsea Houska, Kailyn Lowry, Maci Bookout, and Amber Portwood.
“She’s just so down to earth and humble. Her and Tyler [Baltierra], they’re just great people,” Jenelle says.
As for her favorite of the Teen Mom dads, Jenelle has a soft spot for Leah Messer’s ex-husband Corey Simms.
“The first person that came to mind was Corey [Simms] for who would be the best significant other for [all of] Teen Moms,” she said of the dad of twins Ali and Aleeah. “He does everything he can for his girls. Him and Miranda are happy.”
Corey has been at odds with Jenelle’s costar Leah during this season of Teen Mom 2, accusing her of having a pill addiction and trying to get primary custody of their daughters. In the most recent episode of the show it was revealed that Corey and his wife, Miranda, are expecting their first child together.
Jenelle also weighed in on OG star Farrah Abraham, who has attacked her several times on social media.
“I haven’t met Farrah in my life. We’ve never met in real life, we’ve never spoken,” Jenelle says. “I’ve heard about the stuff she’s done over there in the UK I just hear it’s a lot of drama.”
Indeed, earlier this week — after Jenelle taped her interview — the adult film actress got into a brawl with one of her Celebrity Big Brother UK costars. As a result of the fight, the CBBUK aftershow had to be pulled from the air temporarily, and one cast member was sent to the hospital.
