Crying over love — literally! Nikki Ferrell broke down on the Wednesday, Oct. 8 episode of VH1's Couples Therapy, because Juan Pablo Galavis (again!) refused to say he loves her.
"I feel like why give someone 100 percent, if they're not giving you 100 percent?" Ferrell, 27, lamented to Dr. Jenn Berman and her fellow housemates. "I still feel like he's holding back… If I'm always gonna have this feeling like I'm always waiting for him to choose me, the relationship is not gonna work. I feel like he could up and leave from this relationship at any time, and he'll be completely fine with it."
The season 18 Bachelor retorted, "She wants to hear I love you. It's a word issue. It's a feeling. It's a word." Galavis mused: "I feel like I cannot be without her… She wants to hear 'I love you.' To me it kind of sucks that just three words will make her feel 100 percent confident."
Ferrell told Galavis that it wasn't the words that mattered, but rather him "meaning" those words.
"If I say it, I mean it," he responded. (Ferrell was the last-standing contestant on Galavis' controversial season of ABC's smash franchise. On the After the Final Rose special in March, Galavis refused to profess his love and simply told Ferrell, "I like you," even after she told him she loved him.)
An expert on lying and deception, who joined the circle on the episode, directly called out Galavis. "Do you love Nikki?" she asked.
"I can say, 'Yeah, I'm falling for her big time,'" he said. "Do I love her, as to tell her, 'I love you?' No." See more of Juan Pablo's controversial moments.
