Kirk Cameron has the cure! The former child star, now 44, offered up a remedy to so-called “Seaver Fever” when he stopped by the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show on Monday, Oct. 20.
Cameron explained the ailment as a condition that makes fans fixate on his role of Mike Seaver in the beloved 1980s sitcom Growing Pains, and not be able to see past his part on the show.
“My grandma told me, ‘You starve a cold and feed a fever,'” Cameron explained. “I try to feed the fever by giving them six years of Mike Seaver in 60 seconds.”
The Saving Christmas star then did just that, donning a wig to look like his younger self and becoming Mike Seaver once again.
Against the Growing Pains theme song, Cameron acted out some pivotal plot points from the ABC program. He recited lines from arguments with his father Dr. Jason Seaver (Alan Thicke), reenacted scenes with his brother Ben Seaver (Jeremy Miller), and even proposed to his love Kate McDonald, who was played by Cameron’s real-life wife Chelsea Noble.
