You know the saying, the darker the berry … actually, that may not be a saying, but it was the cocktail of the day on Kocktails With Khloe. On the Wednesday, March 2, episode of her late-night talk show, Khloé Kardashian hosted actress-turned-Real Housewife Lisa Rinna, Straight Outta Compton star Marlon Yates Jr., YouTube sensation GloZell Green and Rush Hour star Kirk Fox. There were fewer “games” than usual, which gave Khloé more time to talk about, well, herself.
Khloé Konfronts the Rumor About James Harden
In a new section cleverly dubbed “Konfronting the Rumor,” Khloé addressed recent headlines bearing her name. Specifically, she addressed the rumors that she had been out with French Montana and had split with James Harden.
“I am cordial with people, and I think once you kind of let someone see your vagina, it’s probably still nice to have a relationship with them,” she noted, adding that not doing so “seemed bizarre.”
She went on to clarify the situation, however: She and French did not arrange to go out together. They had merely been invited to a mutual friend’s birthday dinner. “I’m still friends with French,” she said. “We are cordial.” Still, she made it clear there was nothing more going on there than that.
She did, however, break up with James. Khloé gave some backstory about how she had wanted to keep their relationship casual, while he had “pursued” her for something more. “So I was like, ‘Great, this guy’s in it for the long haul. Let’s do it,'” she recalled. “But then I found out he wasn’t, and I’ve got the receipts to prove it.”
While the Houston Rockets star had cheated, however, she made it clear that she never had. “I’ve never cheated in my life,” she explained. “I don’t believe it needs to be done.” She noted that seeing how much it hurt her father, Robert Kardashian, when her mother, Kris [Kardashian] Jenner cheated on him is what persuaded her to never to do it to anyone else. “I am happy. I am good,” she added.
In true Real Housewives of Beverly Hills style, Lisa was right there cheering Khloé on. “You should never settle for anything except the very best!” she cheered while Khloe nodded and smiled.
Khloé Opens Up About Lamar. Again.
In what has become a theme of the show, Khloe reflected on her relationship with Lamar Odom. “People can say whatever they want about Lamar, but our relationship was so unbelievable, and it was so great. The good outweighed the bad,” she mused. “I still have only great things to say about him. But he also set the bar [high].”
She went on to explain, “Once you’ve also had a certain type of love or respect from someone, you won’t settle for much less.” Marlon noted that Khloé’s eyes still lit up when she talked about Lamar, which made her smile even more.
Later on, Kirk Fox revealed that he’d had Lamar’s mistress on his show at one point — a fact that hadn’t escaped Khloé. “I was asked if I wanted to comment about it, and of course I declined,” she said before moving on to a new topic.
Lisa Explains Her Twitter Feud with Yolanda Foster, Takes Aim at Brandi Glanville
Asked by Khloé about her recent statements that she suspected fellow Housewife Yolanda Foster was faking (all or part of) her Lyme disease, Lisa didn’t miss a beat. “When somebody has an opinion, they have an opinion,” she shrugged, adding that she was “not proud” of their Twitter war.
“I’m like, ‘What is a Twitter war?'” she said, laughing. “I’m a 52-year-old woman. I have no business having a Twitter war.” Lisa then added, “[Yolanda] will tell you that friends have questioned her, her family has questioned her, so I’m not the first one.”
As for ex-castmate Brandi Glanville, Lisa admitted, “It’s been harder not to have her on because she was so easy to play off of, to be honest. She really was. All you had to do was hit the ball back, that’s the truth. Once she was gone, I knew we would all have to create something between all of us, and we all really liked each other, so it made it much more difficult. I missed her … and then, I didn’t.” Oh, snap.
Marlon Has Never Met Shaquille O’Neal
Despite the fact that he’s been dating Shaq‘s ex-wife, Shaunie O’Neal, for over six years now, Marlon admitted his relationship with the iconic basketball star is basically nonexistent.
“To be honest, we’ve never met, haven’t shook hands, none of that,” he said. “We’ve been in the same room a couple of times. We don’t speak.”
Other facts Marlon shared were that he’d never been bothered by the 14-year age gap between him and Shaunie, he wants kids “at some point,” and he would never marry a girl who was anti-threesome. (Though, for full disclosure, he never plans to get married to any girl anyway, even one who is pro-threesome.)
And … It Was Time for Another Lamar Update!
Somehow, as the evening wound down, a discussion about Lisa and Khloé’s mutual love of porn circled back to Khloé’s relationship with Lamar (sigh). “My husband had an accident, and I was in the middle of rushing the divorce, and my husband was incapacitated to make medical decisions,” she explained. “I had to make life or death decisions for him, and my divorce was two days away from [going] through, and so we withdrew it, so I was able to make these decisions for him.”
She added, “He is great. I am super happy for him.” In case it wasn’t clear yet, she reiterated, “I want Lamar to be happy with Lamar again. I want Lamar to fall in love with his life one more time.” As for their impending divorce, she sighed.
“I never wanted the divorce to begin with, but you know, I never wanted him to spiral out of control — but some people need to walk down a certain path in order to heal, so I’m just happy that he’s healing.” More updates on how much Khloé still cares about Lamar next week!
