On the Sunday, Sept. 27, episode of Keeping Up With Kardashians, Kris Jenner is still struggling to come to terms with her ex-husband Caitlyn Jenner‘s transition from male to female.
The momager’s daughter Kim Kardashian brought over some of Caitlyn’s cast-off men’s clothing for Kris to keep as mementos of their 23-year marriage.
“I think going through something like this is difficult because the whole thing is something I’ve never dealt with before,” Kris says in the clip. “And I realized I still have a long way to go before I can process all of this and understand it. And seeing these clothes and realizing that Bruce has thrown them out makes it real.”
As Kris picks up each article of clothing, she breathes in the scent, saying, “Smells like him.”
She is then moved to tears, reliving the memories of her marriage as she sorts through clothes that she bought for her ex and that the former Olympian wore for their old family Christmas cards.
“It’s just crazy that he’s gone,” Kris says, hugging her daughter.
“But he’s not, no, he’s not,” Kim insists.
The pair married in 1991 after Kris divorced her first husband, Robert Kardashian. They separated in 2013 before making the split official last year. Caitlyn made her debut as a woman on the July cover of Vanity Fair.
