Sometimes it’s not what they say, it’s what they don’t say! Mariah Carey‘s Tuesday, May 17, appearance on Watch What Happens Live was totally unmissable — and the pop diva’s reactions to questions about Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj will have you laughing out loud!

The “Hero” singer lived up to her reputation when she showed up late for her live TV appearance, leaving show host Andy Cohen hanging alone for a good few minutes while he prepared viewers for the superstar’s arrival.
He also abdicated his WWHL throne for his extra-special guest to make sure the TV cameras got her “good side.”
But when Carey did eventually arrive, boy, was it worth the wait!
In a very understated style, Carey proceeded to throw shade in the direction of two fellow musical divas, Lopez and Minaj.
“Do you know each other?” asked Cohen, of Carey and Lopez, after the Latina stunner told Wendy Williams last week that they have, in fact, met “many times.”
“No!” replied Carey.
“She says you know her,” pushed Cohen.
“You know what, I’m very forgetful,” Carey answered. “Apparently I’m forgetful, because I don’t remember the fact that it was just like, ‘Hi, I’m so-and-so,’ and then move on.”
“Does she seem cool?” pressed Cohen.
Cue one of Carey’s big pauses! “I don’t know her, what am I supposed to say?” she responded, eventually.
Next in the firing line was Nicki Minaj, who Carey famously feuded with during her time on American Idol.
“Can you say three nice things about Nicki Minaj?” asked Cohen during a game of ‘Plead the Fifth.’
“Can you?” replied Carey. After another long pause, she skirted the issue. “You know, I always thought it was more important with that situation to not plead the fifth, but to just stay above the fray,” she explained. “Because you don’t want to be déclassé. You just want to move it along.”
But while Lopez and Minaj were clearly not on Carey’s BFF list, Britney Spears and Beyoncé fared a lot better.
“We were at the MTV awards years ago, and we had a whole conversation,” Carey said of Spears. “She was just a really nice girl.”
And Beyoncé? “I love Beyoncé.” She added, “I would love to do a collaboration with her.”
