Sting would be proud! Newlyweds Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados take part in a tantric message course on Married at First Sight‘s Tuesday, September 13, episode, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek.
The FYI series’ preview clip shows Granados straddling their female instructor, Harrah, and sharing an intense eye-contact exercise with her. Granados and Pendergrast have appeared to click at times, but have not made much progress in escalating the physical side of their romance.
“That tantra session — in-freaking-tense,” the social worker, 33, tells the camera. “I’m pretty sure I’m a lesbian right now.… I felt like she felt me, like who I am as a person. I was like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It was a little bit freaky.”
The message therapist then sits down with Pendergrast and tells the 32-year-old vacation rental manager to be less “guarded” and try trusting his wife more.
“I’m intrigued by this breathing [and] spiritual things because I’ve never done it, No. 1, so I’m not going to shut something down that I’ve never tried before,” the new groom tells the camera. “And No. 2, Harrah seems very centered and peaceful.”
“I agree with her — I do want to be a more open husband,” Pendergrast continues. “I think she has some insight on how to do that. Everything she said, I took it to heart.”
A previously released clip from the episode showed Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez nearing their breaking point after a heated discussion about whether to start a family. This scene was also exclusive to Us.
