Off the beach and into the ballroom! The OC alum Mischa Barton will compete on Dancing With the Stars' 22nd season, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
Barton, 30, is best known for the Fox drama The OC, playing Marissa Cooper until the character's death in 2006's season 3 finale. As a child actress, she appeared in such films as Notting Hill and The Sixth Sense, and has more recently had roles in a number of indie movies.
Us exclusively revealed last month that Fuller House's Jodie Sweetin will compete on season 22. Us has also confirmed that America's Next Top Model cycle 22 winner Nyle DiMarco and The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kim Fields will participate. The full list of contestants will be revealed live on Good Morning America on Tuesday, March 8.
This will be a season of transition for the long-running ABC dance competition series. Six-time mirrorball champion Derek Hough will skip season 22 as he prepares for a key role in Broadway's upcoming musical Singin' in the Rain. Meanwhile, his sister, Julianne Hough, a two-time winner on the show, will not return after three seasons on the judges panel. Len Goodman, who was absent in season 21, will be back.
Tell Us: How will Mischa Barton do?
Dancing With the Stars returns to ABC on Monday, March 21, at 8 p.m. EST.
