Shine your Football Head, look out for Mojo Jojo, beware of shoobies, turn up Killer Tofu, and get ready to meet a lot of Pickles, because Nickelodeon might be unveiling the perfect channel to make our ‘90s kid dreams come true!
There’s a rumor buzzing around the Interwebs that the beloved children’s network is crafting a ’90s-specific channel aimed at targeting our inner child. A new verified Twitter account called “The Splat” has created a website along with a series of social media platforms, all with the hashtag “#TheSplatIsComing.”
The Twitter feed features some of your favorite ‘90s programming like CatDog, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, The Ren & Stimpy Show, The Wild Thornberrys, and Doug. The logo, which is a throwback to Nickelodeon’s original logo of an orange splatter, was also featured at the ‘90s Fest in Brooklyn, N.Y., over the weekend.
Variety reports that a source close to the situation says a Viacom-owned outlet will launch the network in October.
In a world of Disney remakes and highly anticipated reboots (looking at you, Fuller House), a nostalgia channel makes perfect sense.
Tell Us: If The Splat really did come to TV, would you watch?
