The actress, who has portrayed law assistant Bonnie Winterbottom on How to Get Away With Murder since the ABC drama’s September 2014 premiere, told reporters at the festival that she will appear in two episodes of the reboot, which is said to consist of four episodes, each timed to one of the four seasons.

“I’m very excited about it,” she told the crowd. “Obviously, there’s a lot of nostalgia surrounding the project, and I can’t wait to dive into it. I was very emotional when I read the script, and it’s going to be great to revisit my old friend Paris.”

Paris and Rory had a sometimes-contentious friendship during their time together as Chilton classmates and later as Yale roommates. Paris was last seen in the series’ second-to-last episode, as she and longtime boyfriend Doyle (Danny Strong) prepared for a trip to India together. Strong has since became a major, award-winning screenwriter and TV producer, working on such projects as Empire and the Hunger Games films, and he has yet to be announced as reprising his role.

Weil joins previously announced returnees Bledel, Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Yanic Truesdale (Michel) and Matt Czuchry (Logan).

Last Friday, Truesdale posted a photo to Instagram of himself with Graham on set during a break from shooting.

After many months of speculation, Netflix confirmed last month that it is bringing back the popular series, which ran for seven seasons before signing off in May 2007. The revival’s title and launch date have not been announced.
