Pick a side? After Kordell Stewart filed for divorce from wife Porsha Stewart, mutual friend Peter Thomas found himself caught in the middle. In an exclusive preview clip of the upcoming March 9 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Thomas reveals to Porsha that he spoke with her estranged husband behind her back.
During a group trip to Mexico, Cynthia Bailey‘s husband decided to confess his secret meeting to Porsha while traveling in a limo after their arrival. “Porsha, no shade, I don’t know if you know this, but your husband and I had a conversation,” Thomas revealed. “We sat down and we talked. I needed to hear the other side of conversation. You said you were blindsided with him filing for divorce, and I’m like, why would he do that? This is real talk, he said, ‘I love my wife.'”
“I’ve always said I loved Kordell, but that doesn’t mean I was pleased with the way I was treated, or where our relationship ended up and how it happened,” Porsha replied. “But we still signing the papers.”
Kordell filed for divorce in March 2013 after nearly two years of marriage. (The divorce has since been finalized in December.) During an April 2013 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Porsha claimed that she learned her husband had filed for divorce through Twitter.
“When the divorce happened, Peter told me, ‘It was so disgusting of him to have done that. He’s a horrible guy. How could he treat you like this?'” Porsha recalled on RHOA. “And now you’re having tea at his house? That’s crazy to me.”
Thankfully, given that they’re on a group vacation, Porsha and Thomas seemed to drop the potential feud . . . at least for the time being.
“I’m quite sure you’re not going to be single for a long time,” Thomas told his costar.
“I don’t plan on it,” Porsha said. “I plan on signing the documents and moving right along. I really do.”
“Cheers to that!” Thomas said, toasting with champagne.
