Price Is Right Contestant in Wheelchair Wins Treadmill, Finds It Hilarious

Nothing like a good sense of humor! A comedian named Danielle Perez competed on The Price Is Right this week, but her time on the game show took an unexpected turn with one cringeworthy prize.

Perez, who has no feet and is in a wheelchair, was picked to "Come on down" and meet host Drew Carey. She competed for big money and coveted prize packages — specifically a new sauna and, awkwardly, a top-of-the-line treadmill. She expressed her excitement over being picked to Carey, and was just as enthusiastic about both of the potential prizes, gushing, "These are really nice!"

Victorious in her One Right Price round, she indeed snagged the sauna and the treadmill, despite the fact that the exercise machine may be of little use to her. Perez was still thrilled by her win, immediately grinning and shaking Carey's hand. Her good friend also took to Twitter to use the gift as proof that some reality TV is, in fact, real.

"My BFF @DivaDelux won a treadmill on The Price is Right, she's in a wheelchair," her pal Gianzé S. Pérez tweeted, mentioning the competitor. "Lol… At least we know now that nothing is fixed."

While some viewers used Twitter to criticize the show for the ill-suited prize and the uncomfortable moment, Perez showed off her comedy chops, poking fun at herself and having a laugh because of her new treadmill.

Responding to a tweet reading, "Lady in wheelchair won a treadmill on The Price Is Right today. I laughed a little, but then felt bad. #ThePriceIsWrong," Perez wrote, "Well I won the treadmill and I laughed A LOT… Don't feel bad, I'm the woman who won the treadmill and I feel great!"

Commenting on another take, which said the awkward gift should've been prevented by showrunners, Perez shot back, "But where's the fun in that? This is literally the best day of my life. I've been popping wheelies all day."
