‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 7 Premiere Recap: Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna Face Off as Dorit Kemsley Joins the Fray

Back to the hills! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returned for the season 7 premiere on Tuesday, December 6, meaning the ladies tried to move on after last season’s heated fights, particularly between Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump. It was candle time on the episode, so let’s light it up!

Getting Off on the Right Foot

The ever-fabulous Erika Girardi was turning 45, and her husband, Tom, told her he was giving her a Marc Chagall. She seemed to think he was giving “himself a present,” but she was “down” anyway. Just to be on the “safe side,” he gave her another present: a third Cartier panther. She was way more excited about that.

Prior to meeting up with Lisa V., Kyle Richards half-jokingly asked the restaurateur over the phone while wearing sandals, “Do they allow Birkenstocks in Pump?” We could hear a very serious “no” from the other end of the line.

Viewers were introduced to Lisa and Ken’s new dog from the pound, Harrison, but more importantly, their longtime friends Dorit and PK Kemsley, whose houseguest happens to be none other than Boy George. Totally no big deal, right? He’s also their children’s godfather.

Kyle randomly told Dorit over dinner that she used to dress like Boy George and was a “Boy George wannabe.” Weirdly, it kind of made sense after viewers saw an old picture of Kyle dressed up as the “Karma Chameleon” singer himself.

Kyle seemed slightly annoyed by Dorit’s strange accent. According to Kyle, the show newbie — who has been married to British husband PK for about a year — has picked up a “Madonna-like accent, like when she was married to Guy Ritchie.”

Lisa R. decided in this episode to become a more positive person, so it didn’t hurt that Harry Hamlin got her a new car. She reflected upon her father’s death and said she needs to focus on her two teenage daughters in light of her tense brouhaha with Vanderpump last season.

Ladies Who Lunch

Kyle, Erika and Eileen Davidson had lunch and discussed the Lisas’ feud, with Kyle stating that she feels everyone will probably make up because women are “more easy to manipulate.” Eileen, however, was not sure it’s going to be as easy as Kyle thinks for everyone to just “make up.”

Dorit and PK offered a peek into their celeb-filled lives, with Dorit revealing that she “does it all.” They have two kids, Jagger, 2, and Phoenix, 4 and a half months, and she has a baby nurse, a main nanny, a few more nannies, three full-time housekeepers and her husband’s assistant. She stated that she hoped no one judged her for having too much help, as she isn’t in bed “eating bonbons all day.”

Dorit shared that before moving to Beverly Hills, she felt it had “a little bit too much carrot juice and a little bit too much Botox,” but by the end of the show she excitedly announced that she and PK fit right in!

Party Time

Erika had Sharon Ferguson, a.k.a. P‑‑sy Control, running the guest list for her birthday shindig, and all the ladies came out looking fabulous. The women told each other how gorgeous they looked, while Lisa V. “jokingly” told Lisa R. that she would maybe “give her wig a tug later,” as she thinks “it would be well deserved.” Rinna’s reaction was to keep her cool and tell Dorit “not to listen to her,” with the newcomer trying to stay out of it.

All this went on while Erika’s own music was playing. For her birthday present, Eileen gave Erika a part on The Young and the Restless, and the woman of the hour couldn’t be more excited. Erika admitted that her name, Erika Jayne, came from Erica Kayne because her mom watched All My Children. The ladies seemed to be getting drunker and drunker throughout the party as everyone was commenting that there was no food being served. Apparently, there was an issue in the kitchen with the food, and it never came. Tom surprised Erika with her mom, who had been hiding in the bedroom all day, and the birthday gal was superexcited.

Tom gave Mauricio some advice on which planes were better to purchase, and the girls kept drinking as the evening went on. PK casually told Erika that Boy George loved her, and she had a mini freak-out. She later told the camera, “To hear that Boy George know’s who the f‑‑k I am, I mean, let’s get serious — it’s kind of a big deal.”

Dorit was quite friendly with Eileen and Lisa R., and it seemed to bother Lisa V.; Dorit even invited Eileen to her birthday party.

Erika got her cake, and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to her, with Lisa V. telling the camera she would be coming back stronger than ever, despite the fact that she thinks Eileen and Lisa R. probably wish she weren’t part of their circle of friends, all while “Painkillr” played in the background.
