Reality no-shows: Rob Kardashian can’t keep up with his filming schedule.
Following a three-year hiatus from TV, the once-reclusive Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 29, “has skipped and not shown up for” several shoots for Rob & Chyna, his upcoming six-episode E! docuseries with pregnant fiancée Blac Chyna, a source confirms in the new issue of Us Weekly. “He’s struggling to readjust to the grueling work schedule.”
While Chyna, 28, five months pregnant with their daughter, has filmed solo during his recent absences, the Arthur George sock designer fears the spinoff was a mistake.
“It was like a honeymoon every day with Chyna before filming started,” explains a source close to Kardashian, who has battled severe depression and briefly unfollowed his bride-to-be on Instagram after a July spat. “But working with your pregnant partner and living together has been stressful. Rob just shuts down.”
Case in point: A Chyna insider says she couldn’t get ahold of her fiancé after he opted out of his grandmother MJ’s July 26 birthday bash in San Diego. Adds the source, “You will see a lot of stress and fighting on the show.”
But there will be plenty of sweet moments to balance out the drama. “This show is capturing their real lives,” the pal explains of the pair who got engaged in early April. “There are great highs and low lows. It goes back and forth.”
Despite any hiccups along the way, the insider insists “production is still in full swing and Chyna is very happy with the way things are going.”
