A round of applause! Nominations were announced for the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Wednesday, December 14.
Chicago P.D. actress Sophia Bush and rapper-actor Common presented the film and TV categories at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. They were also joined by executive producer Kathy Connell.
Last year, Spotlight took home the big win for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Others recognized included Leonardo DiCaprio for his work in The Revenant and Brie Larson for Room. Both stars went on to win Oscars in the best actor and best actress categories.
As for television, Orange Is the New Black won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Downton Abbey beat out shows such as Game of Thrones and Mad Men for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
