Pull up a chair, A.C.! A Saved by the Bell–themed pop-up bar and diner is coming to the Windy City, Time Out Chicago reports.
The official pop-up’s Facebook page posted details about the restaurant, which will be called “Saved by the Max.” It opens on June 1 and will only be open for one month. The location is yet to be announced, but will be around the Wicker Park area.
The eatery will be reminiscent of Saved by the Bell’s old Bayside High hangout, The Max. The diner, of course, was a go-to for high school students Zack Morris, A.C. Slater, Kelly Kapowski, Jessie Spano, Samuel “Screech” Powers and Lisa Turtle.
According to the page, “Saved by the Max” will serve tasty meals like A.C. Sliders, Preppy BLTs, Macaroni & Screech, Belding Fries and Lisa Turtle Milkshakes. It will also include a full bar and daily costume contests.
Even more, weekly events will be packed with karaoke, trivia and dance parties. Fans of the beloved series can also listen in on recreated scripts.
As Jessie would say: “I’m so excited!”
Saved by the Bell ran on NBC for four seasons from 1989 to 1993 and starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Dustin Diamond and Lark Voorhies. Its spinoff, Saved by the Bell: The College Years, aired from 1993 to 1994.
