The Bachelorette Tapes Rap Battle in NYC: Inside the Episode Filming!

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson were both picked for the upcoming season of Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette goes bicoastal! The cast members of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette hit New York City on Wednesday, March 25, filming an episode for the 11th installment of the reality dating show.

After The Bachelor's Chris Soules picked Whitney Bischoff in this month's season finale, host Chris Harrison announced that contestants Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe will both star as the next Bachelorette, but only one will make it to the final rose ceremony.

One of the women and a group of her male suitors arrived in Manhattan for a fun destination date this week, and a source gave Us Weekly the exclusive scoop. Read on for all of the spoiler-filled details below!

While there has yet to be confirmation on the structure of the two-Bachelorettes show, Bristowe was the one in the Big Apple with her dates. She was joined on Manhattan's West Side by eight men, who all participated in a group date.

In typical Bachelorette fashion, producers upped the ante on the already-awkward situation, adding a bold challenge to the date. Nodding to dance instructor Bristowe's hobby of rapping, the suitors competed in a good old-fashioned rap battle.

The men fighting for Bristowe's heart went head-to-head, competing against just one other freshly minted MC. After taking the mic herself and laying down some impressive bars, the Bachelorette star cheered her men on, hugging each of them as they came onstage to perform.

With some added star power from guest judge Doug E. Fresh, a winner was picked from each rhyming duel. While Bristowe didn't hand out any roses to the amateur rappers, she did take them out to a celebratory afterparty following the competition.

As the contestants ran game on Bristowe, kissing her cheek after performing and jibing each other to win her affection, there were some surprise cameos from Bachelor Nation. Soules' Bachelor season 19 castoff Ashley Iaconetti took in the action, as did Juan Pablo Galavis' former suitor from season 18, Sharleen Joynt, who attended with her new fiancé Andy Levine.

Also in attendance was Nick Viall, the runner-up for Andi Dorfman's 10th season of The Bachelorette. The reality star has been linked to various women in the months since Dorfman chose Josh Murray (and later split from him), but has yet to find love. Could Viall be involved in Bristowe's season? Viewers will find out on May 18 when the 10th season of The Bachelorette airs on ABC!
