Emmys 2016: ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Hit Award Show’s Red Carpet for the First Time

There’s a first time for everything! Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, the kid actors from Netflix’s Stranger Things, hit the 2016 Emmy red carpet at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Sunday, September 19.

Chatting with E!’s Giuliana Rancic, the Hollywood newbies — looking adorable in formal getups — opened up about attending TV’s biggest night for the first time, as seen in the clip above.

“It’s incredible,” 12-year-old Brown (who plays Eleven on the hit series) told Rancic, 42, in her very posh British accent. “I’ve been watching E! and everything for such a long time now and to actually be here, it’s really amazing.”

Asked which celebrity they’re most excited to see at the star-studded event, McLaughin (who plays Lucas Sinclair) said that he couldn’t pick just one person. “Everyone!” he exclaimed. “You never know who’s gonna be here ’cause, like, you know the name but you don’t want to miss one, so you’re excited to see everybody because you watch TV all the time.”

Rancic then pressed the young actors about all the attention they’ve received since their now-wildly popular show — which was recently renewed for a second season — premiered back in July.

“The best part about the ride [has been] meeting everyone that just loves the show because they’re all super great to us,” Matarazzo, 14 — who plays Dustin — explained. I just respect them for coming up to me and asking for pictures and stuff.… The fans have been the best part of this ride.”

While talking with the talented trio, the Fashion Police host couldn’t help but ask the young ‘uns about their dressy ensembles. “Well, I wanted this, but my stylist got me this custom tux from Eden Miles and this custom-made bow tie,” McLaughlin explained of his embroidered tux and fancy neckwear.

Brown shared that her black gown with sheer accents and bird appliqués was Valentino Red and revealed that she decided to carry a bespoke Edie Parker handbag with her name monogrammed on it because, “I just thought, Why not?”

Though he looked just as dapper as his costars, Matarazzo said that he didn’t put as much thought into his look. “And, yeah, I just went to this place and got this tux,” he shared. “I got it from a rental place.”
